"We won't get anywhere until we come to terms with the crucial ambiguity of our role ~ that we are at once the problem and only the problem and the only possible solution to the problem."
Denise DeNicolo is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas. Her professional credentials include a Bachelors degree from University of Maryland and a Masters degree from State University of New York. She is also a Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor.
Her experience is diverse, having worked with high risk populations with serious mental illnesses, military soldiers, to working in her private practice that is focused on balanced well-being for adult populations. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to define clear goals in a warm and affirming setting. Sessions are goal oriented helping the client gain insight into what may be the causes of the current struggle and finding effective skills for change.
Denise's mission is to offer ethical and effective treatment for people regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. She is not a "Christian Counselor"; therefore, she treats people of ALL FAITHS, and respects their religious and spiritual beliefs (including those who are agnostic or athiest). If it is important to you that your therapist must practice your religion, please contact your place of worship for an appropriate referral.
